Manny Santos walked down to the dorm's small kitchen. It was chaos in here, as usual. Right now though, Manny was starving. She reached into the fridge and pulled out a package of noodles. Without warming them up, the dark haired girl started to eat them with a pair of chop sticks. School life was great. She had a small break from filming Jason Mewe's movie, and was now back in Canada. For now, at least. Manny was glad of that, actually. She missed her friends--especially her best friend, Emma Nelson.
"So, how are you?" Manny asked the blond who was looking lost. She knew Emma didn't have the same...personality as she once did, she was often clingy and...not her usual perky self. Manny didn't like it and wished Emma wouldn't just jump off the deep end for a guy. She'd been doing that a lot, and needed to learn to stand on her own two feet. "I missed you so much in LA." She told Emma, shaking her head. "I mean...it's nice and all? But...being home, this is where it's at."
Manny took a seat. She'd even forgave her ex-fiance for lying to her about stealing back his ring. They were working on things, on being friends. Manny couldn't believe she was in such a forgiving mood, but she was. She figured it had to do with all the excitement of Los Angeles. There was a city you could get lost in. She understood now what Paige had meant.
"Why don't you come with me, Em?" Manny asked. She hadn't heard a peep out of her friend since she'd sat down to eat her lunch. "You'd love it in LA. You can sit on the beach from the moment you wake up until the sun goes down. Surfing is a blast." Manny continued, trying to paint a perfect picture to convince Emma. "It's warm, bright and there is tons to do and see. So, when I'm doing lines it's not like you'll be bored or anything."
Still, Emma said nothing. Manny sighed, rose and tossed the small cup of noodles she'd downed away. "Ok, fine." She said. "If you want to be that way. Seriously though? I think you need a reality check. It's not the end of the world to be single for five minutes." Still, Emma was quiet, thoughtful. Manny shook her head. "I'll be upstairs if you want to talk." She said.
